Press release: America Tribute

Marla Jones has just released her recording, “America Tribute.” With flag day around the corner and the celebration of the 250th anniversary of our country, “America Tribute” not only includes some of our traditional patriotic songs with Jones’ vocals and backed by a children/youth choir, but it also features her reciting the poem, “I Am the American Flag.” The poem was written many years ago by her father, J.R. Jones. Being a World War II veteran and having experienced D-Day plus 2, the Battle of Saint-Lo and the Battle of the Bulge, he was saddened and moved to write the poem upon seeing some youth burning our American flag. It expresses with neutrality, whether conservative or liberal, race, age, religion, we are all the symbol of our country…the American flag.

Marla, a singer/songwriter/musician, is also a prominent voice and music teacher in Southern California with many students winning numerous awards and going on to have successful careers in music or professional careers while still including music in their lives. She has sang at numerous major venues presenting shows from Chicago to Las Vegas and numerous locations in the Southwest. The “America Tribute” features the late pianist/composer, Don James, and the arrangement was written by Jones.

Although originally recorded in 2002, this is the first major release of the tribute on streaming platforms.

Jones wishes that you will take a listen and will find some inspiration and hope for our wonderful country. “America Tribute” can be found on most major streaming services, and you can find out more information on her website as well. https://marlajones.com.
