Student Competitions and Successes

I have students participate in numerous vocal competitions including: NATS- LA SEP, NATS Cal Western Regionals, VO-CAL, Spotlight Competition at the Los Angeles Music Center, Classical Singer Competition, and Hal Leonard Vocal Competition. Many of my students have received 1st, 2nd, 3rd place awards as well as Honorable Mention and made Semi-Finalist or 2nd Round selection in these various competitions. I present my students in my own studio recitals as well as MTAC West LA branch recitals, and have had students chosen to sing in the Daniel Pearl World Music Days Concert.

I often coach students for numerous vocal and vocal/theatrical auditions for schools, musical productions and concerts at schools and local and professional theater companies, as well as solo concerts and for auditions for TV shows. We also work on their various roles (including lead roles) for these various productions.

I have had students accepted at top universities in musical arts and theater programs. Some of those schools include: NYU Tisch, UCLA, Berklee College of Music, Cal Arts, Belmont University, Yale, Northwestern Univ., and more.

Former and/or current students have gone on to be everything from an Apprentice with the Los Angeles Opera to singing in professional musical theater companies, developing their own films and starring in them as well as composing all of the music, to being recording artists and touring. Many of my students go on to success in musical activities at college although they are not pursuing that educational path.

My goal is to help each student develop their skills and be at their very best and a standout at who they are.

I love music and truly want to share and pass on the passion and skills!
